Curriculum
The Church Weekday Early Education Curriculum is the teaching guide for all children. This curriculum is professionally designed to meet the needs of the whole child in age appropriate ways. Peabody Language Kit is supplemental material in our 3 & 4 year classes.
Sports readiness is an organized part of our efforts towards physical fitness for the children. Computers are included in the activities of our 3 & 4 year classes. Curriculum activities will be provided according to each child's developmental level.
Infants and toddlers will receive frequent personal contact and attention such as being held, sung to, rocked and taken for strolls. Regular opportunities shall be provided for verbal interaction and a "hands on" exploration of the child's world. Time will be spent outside each day weather permitting.
Our curriculum will be a balance of work and play, quiet and active times, group and individual experiences. Your child will participate in a variety of activities such as:
- Working with paints, clay, crayons, blocks and other manipulative materials.
- Learning to share. Taking turns, planning, problem solving and communicating with others.
- Developing and expanding motor skills through inside and outside play.
- Exploring the world through the use of the five senses.
- Practicing good health and cleanliness habits.
- Prayer, Bible stories and Bible songs.
- Four Year Olds will make short field trips to points of interest in the community.*
